Summary:
The Commercial Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the commercial service department. This role involves managing a team of technicians and service advisors, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining safety standards, and driving profitability. The Commercial Service Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all commercial service operations meet the company’s quality standards while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities; include, but not limited to:
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and develop a team of service technicians and advisors.
- Schedule and coordinate the daily workflow of the service department.
- Monitor performance and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and procedure
- Customer Service & Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with commercial customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee the efficient operation of the commercial service department, ensuring timely completion of all service orders.
- Implement and monitor processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure proper maintenance and use of equipment and tools.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Inventory & Supplier Coordination:
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary parts and supplies.
- Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms.
- Monitor inventory usage and adjust orders as necessary.
Work Environment:
- This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with customers and team members.
- Regular handling of materials up to 100 pounds.

- The job is typically performed in an indoor environment, but exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle systems and repair techniques.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is preferred.
- OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification is a plus.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial service environment
- Proven experience in managing a team and driving operational success.
