Atlantic Tire Distributors located in Richmond, VA, is currently seeking a full-time Key Account Manager to join our team! Full benefit package offered, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) + Profit Sharing, paid holidays, vacation time, company paid life insurance, and short-term disability.

Summary:

As a Key Account Manager, this individual’s role will be at the forefront of driving business growth and maintaining strong relationships with Car Dealers in key markets including Richmond and Roanoke, VA. The customer base includes GM, Mopar, Ford, and import New Car Dealers. This role involves devising strategic plans to maximize value from key accounts, fostering trust-based partnerships, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth through innovative solutions and proactive problem-solving. By staying informed about industry trends and collaborating closely with internal teams, this candidate will ensure exceptional customer experiences and sustainable business success.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to expand customer base.
  • Enhance market share and foster loyalty among existing customers to strengthen market share.
  • Exceed sales targets and operational benchmarks within designated territory.
  • Formulate and implement tailored account strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Craft, articulate, and execute comprehensive business plans to drive sustained expansion.
  • Offer comprehensive insights into advantageous tire purchasing programs to customers.
  • Foster and maintain productive relationships with tire manufacturer representatives.
  • Monitor and disseminate competitive intelligence, including pricing and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with logistics teams to elevate customer service standards continuously.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly, ensuring optimal satisfaction.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of both current and upcoming product offerings.
  • Ensure account financials remain current through proactive collaboration with the credit department.
  • Actively participate in industry gatherings to cultivate networks and fortify relationships.
  • Serve as a conduit between customers and the warranty department, expediting resolution of defective claims.
  • Adhere to Atlantic Tire's policies and procedures outlined in the company handbook diligently.
  • Requirements:
  • Exceptional sales acumen, demonstrating expertise in consultative selling techniques.
  • Proficiency in comprehending fundamental principles of business finance.
  • Exemplary time management and organizational abilities, ensuring efficient task prioritization and execution.
  • Outstanding communication prowess, both verbal and written, facilitating effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in remote work and adept utilization of technology to maintain productivity in field operations.
  • Comprehensive grasp of the retail sales process, enabling strategic engagement with customers.
  • Proficient in a range of essential software tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Apple iPhone applications.

Travel:

Key Account Managers will travel within their assigned territory and are asked to be customer facing 90% of the workday. Very little, if any, overnight stays are required. All travel is by motor vehicle, no flights required.
